Yay it’s a wrap on Homeboy Sandman’s music video!!! Well really we wrapped last Tuesday but I fell ill and have been sucking down organic juice for the past few days to crawl myself out of it. 

Also got to reunite with this lovely lady up here. Sinead was our makeup artist on the Yogsothoth film and she came back to help us out on the music video , which allowed me to chat her up like nobodies business (I got in trouble for it too). If I could box her up with me and bring her wherever I go I would. YOU HEAR THAT SINEAD YOU MY BEU!! BE MY BEST FRIIEEEND!! haha nah for reals she’s mad cool I just wish she lived closer so we could hang out more. Oh well next project she’s down to assist me on props (thank god!!!) and I’m making her come to the beach with me this summer.

Once again left waiting on measurements, unable to start the process of creating the most important costume of the piece we is trying to create. Whattup wit that!

Flurry of work work work feeling good good good (then anxious then bad then sensitive *sorry baby*) but I’m being focused and working at standing up for my own decisions, which is nice.

I’ve got a problem… everyone seems to be obsessed (especially photographically) with the youth culture… and I’m not. I could care less. In fact I’m sickened most of the time by it’s inane dramatism and vapid surface that seems to be lacquered in perfume baby vomit and liquid anorexia. And I’m 22, I’m 22 and bored by it’s lack of substance which is a problem because that’s all people want to see, pretty skinny barely clothed girls getting wasted and I like pictures of aged prideful people who are weary with meaning. It’s a problem…

Soooo the shoot with the Step Kids went super duperly!!! There were a few slip ups, things forgotten, khaki pants that they didn’t bring, a bag left in the sound stage, but all in all I think everything came out awesome. The costumes were individual while being congruent to the theme, the colors were good, the style. I’m pleased with myself I must say and I’m pleased with our crew. It was really a dream experience, the Step kids are total sweethearts and everyone got on swimmingly. Hopefully the dream will continue and Peanut butter Wolf will love the video and hire us all for realsies next time and super crew can assemble for creative genius once again! 

More awesome news is that the step kids have been recruited by Tyler the Creator of Odd Future to lay down some tracks for his new album… which means more play for the Step Kids… which means more play for my boo’s music video since this is the one Stones throw is gonna push to the press… which means INSTANT STARDOM FOR ALL! Nah prolly not but its still a win win. 

I also took photos for the band so those’ll be up some time in the future along with the music vid at some later date. 

Sigh man it was good. If only we could live off of stuff like this huh?

From the Spain group. This was down in Barcelona near the beach, the one I barely got to chill at since my moms dragged me to every museum in the city (not that I minded really but a girl needs her beach time too aight)! 

Three more days till the music vid, I got all me clothes and props packed for tomorrows pick up, I pray I don’t forget anything and all goes smoothly. 

I start class tomorrow Photoshop II here I come! And then it’s back to LI to prep with my baby. I’m feeling in much better spirits lately, which is nice. Pops was right I should always take my multi vitamin haha. I’m looking forward to the future. I got plans to execute and friends to reconnect with. The winter won’t be easy but productivity and purpose is how I’ll beat it. 

The Sword falls in the winter but I’m gonna wield it !

Success!!! I have acquired my beautiful Dhoti it will work nicely I think. Jackson Hieghts was all yummy samosas and mango lassis. I managed to grab another bag for difference sake. So now I’m done!! and ready for Saturday’s shoot. Everything’s hunky dory except for the fact that I forgot I start photo class this thursday and either need mac to pick up all this stuff or drag it to class with me… which is not happening. 

The pics of my mother’s medicine cabinet and no she does not wear all those perfumes, thank god. 

Back home till tuesday. Got a coat for the “Questioner” for the saturday shoot. I feel good, busy but good. I think everything’s gonna work out just fine. Work again tomorrow probably doing menial tasks but it’s better then doing nothing. In the evening I’ll be searching for a dhoti in Jackson Heights. Should be fun.

made the best mahi mahi recipe tonight with dirty rice and a grapefruit sauce mmmhmmm mama kept telling me how good it was. The cook’s ego bursts.

The call went well, things are going good, let us hope they continue this way. I say uh yes a yes oh yes oh yes. The stepkids seem like nice enough dudes so collaborating on these costumes should be a breeze. Now to deal with props… tomorrow I waltz to make a waltzing shadow. I wish this could be my job, it’s more fun, I know people get paid for it damnit!!
